ARTIFACT:
This is a United States Army Air Forces 676th Bomb Squadron, 444th Bomb Group, 20th Air Force patch designed by Disney. The squadron was in both India and Tinian and flew B-17 and B-29 aircraft. The patch shows a dragon gleefully hurling bombs earthward from a cache he has planted in a cloud.
VINTAGE:
Circa World War II.
SIZE:
About 6-3/4"in width by 7-3/8" in height.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Stamped and inked leather.
ATTACHMENT:
To be sewn onto garment.
