US Army 1953 2nd Armored Div. 'Tour' Jacket with 1953 Novice Boxing Runner up Prize Patch

Fantastic United States Army 1953 2nd Armored Division "Tour" Jacket with 1953 novice boxing runner-up prize patch. The satin green and white jacket (colors denote Armored Branch of the US Army) is made in the United States. The "Hell on Wheels" rocker is done in a Bevo weave and is German made. The collar, cuffs, and waistband are wool, and patches and lettering are silk embroidered, with painted brass snaps that read: "UNITED CARR".

Approximately Size 40 and Measures: Collar to hem: 30 ½"; Armpit to armpit 21 ½"; between shoulders 19 ½"; Shoulder seam to cuff 25"; Runner Up Patch: 6" x 5"; Hell on Wheels 2nd Patch: 4" x 4"

Satin, silk, wool, Bevo weave, painted brass

Painted brass snaps for front closure (6 - one is missing)

"UNITED CARR" on snaps; "2d. DIV. SSO" on inside of jacket; Tag: "MADE IN U.S.A. McGREGOR GOLDSMITH SIZE 40 CINCINNATI, OHIO, U.S.A. T.M. REG. U.S.A. & FOREIGN COUNTRIES"

7 (Very Fine): The jacket shows minor to moderate wear and soiling, one of the snap closures is missing, overall nice condition with bright, attractive color.
