Description
This is a unique and interesting variation of a jacket patch for the Bengal Air Depot. The patch was made in the made in the China-Burma-India theatre and is painted multi-piece leather, and the first one I've seen made in this fashion. Roughly circular, the patch shows a tiger's head at center. The name of the original owner (David L. Boisvert) is stamped on the front and is very hard to see.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 5-1/4" in height and 5-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Painted multi-piece leather.

CONDITION:7- (Very Fine-): The patch shows moderate wear and light creasing, with some areas of discoloration, mostly on reverse.
