ARTIFACT:
Interesting 1950's 1960's trustee badge for the Breslau Cemetery Association of Lindenhurst, New York. A spread winged eagle sits atop the shield-shaped badge that reads: "TRUSTEE BRESLAU CEMETERY ASSO., INC." The founder of Breslau (now Lindenhurst) presented a plot of land for the village to use as a cemetery that was located near the Stewart's line of the Long Island Railroad. Each member of the village that volunteered their time to build the cemetery was given a plot.
