Theatre-Made DI for US Army 14th Field Artillery Observer Battalion

This is a German-made distinctive insignia for the United States Army 14th Field Artillery Observer Battalion. The DI is a red and blue crest and reads LOCAMUS DIRIGIMUS (we locate and we direct).

Circa World War II.

1-5/16" height and 1-1/4" width.

Plated brass with painted areas.

Vertical safety-style pin with saddle.
