ARTIFACT:
This is a lovely pocket-sized copy of "The Lady's Almanac for 1859". It has a blue embossed cover and the pages are all gilt-edged. The book contains moon cycles and other information, and has black ages for the reader to jot down daily thoughts. There are several great period advertisements throughout the volume. It was published in Boston, Massachusetts.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1859.
SIZE:
130 pages with black and white illustrations; approximately 4-7/16" in height and 2-7/8" in width and 7/16" in thickness.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Embossed cloth cover, paper with gilt edging.
ATTACHMENT:
Glued binding.

CONDITION:
7- (Very Fine-): The book has worn areas to the cover and corners, with a small split at the bottom of the spine; otherwise there is only minor aging inside, and some of the pages have been written upon in very, very lightly in a small, tidy hand (see photo above).
