Description

ARTIFACT:

This is by far the most incredible WWI USAS Military Aviator Sweetheart Wing that I have ever seen. 
 
Obviously based on a Mess Dress or Shirt Size wing, this is a meticulously scaled down version of the gorgeous full-size wing produced by the Tiffany of Memphis: the Henry Clay Homrighous Jewelry Company.
 
For this exquisite wing, the Homrighous Company used 14K White Gold for the main body of the wing, 14K Yellow Gold, appropriately, for the US, filled in the shield with high grade translucent Red & Blue glass ,enamel and opaque white enamel, and instead of opting for 13 diamond chips for the Stars, chose instead to set a bold row of 5 1 Point Mine Cut Diamonds. The US is riveted to the shield, and whose wing, which is made up of 3 base pieces, is gold soldered to an X form bracket that joins all 3 pieces together. 
 
The Wing is in near mint condition and being in a perpetual state of "Shine" because of the materials used to construct it, does not appear to have ever been polished.

Approximately: 2-1/4 in length x 1/2" in height. Weight: 4.7 grams.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

14K White Gold for the main body of the wing, 14K Yellow Gold "US", and above the US, 5  1-Point Mine Cut Diamonds.

ATTACHMENT:

Horizontal pin with come-under locking Tiffany style catch.

10- (Near Mint): The Wing is in near mint condition and being in a perpetual state of "Shine" because of the materials used to construct it, does not appear to have ever been polished.
