Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a stunning circa early 1940s San Bernardino County, California Deputy Sheriff badge numbered 9The badge is a six-point star with blue enameled lettering. It shows the California grizzly bear at center. The badge was made by G. Entenmann of Los Angeles and has a maker mark on reverse.

VINTAGE:

Circa early 1940s.

SIZE:

Approximately 2-1/2" in height and 2-1/4" in width.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Gilt brass, enamel.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical kick pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS:

99 on front; Entenmann Los Angeles on reverse.
