ARTIFACT: This is a stunning circa 1850s (or earlier) jeweler-made cast silver Clan Badge for an unknown Scotsman, possibly a member of the Taylor Clan, or MacDonald Sleat,  who was also a member of the Order of the Bath, a military order founded in 1725. The badge shows a fist holding an upthrust Crosslet Fitchie and reads Tria Juncta In Uno (Three Joined in One) upon the encircling garter. The badge is unmarked but tests for silver. It has handsome hand-worked details and a large T-style pin.

VINTAGE: Circa 1850s or earlier.

SIZE: Approximately 2-3/8" in height x 1-15/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Hand-worked silver (unmarked and tested).

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal T-style pin with C catch.
