Sterling WWII US Army 43rd Division Sweetheart Pin by Whittemore

This is a sterling silver World War II sweetheart pin for the United States Army 43rd Infantry Division, also known as "Winged Victory". The pin is in two parts, with one having a red four-leaf clover with a black leaf at its center and the other being a red, white and blue flag bearing a fleur-de-lis.

Circa World War II.

43 pin: approximately 1/2" in height and 9/16" in width; flag pin: approximately 7/16" in height and 5/16" in width chain: about 1-3/4" in length.

Sterling silver with enameled areas.

Vertical pins with locking swivel catches, chain, suspension loops.
