ARTIFACT: This is the Spring 1961 edition of "Cross & Cockade Journal" Volume 2, Number 1. This publication was issued quarterly by the Society of World War I Aero Historians. This issue is entirely about the famed Escadrille Lafayette. Replete with great period photography, the issue also has some detailed aircraft illustrations and a large fold-out "Chart of Service" for the squadron.
