Description
This is a Baltic War period miniature first type St. Sava's Commander Cross medal in silver with enamel. The medal shows a portrait of St. Sava, an important cultural and religious figure in Serbian history, and reads 1883 on reverse. St. Sava's robes are pictured as red on the first type medal, and then changed to green from 1914 on. This medal is part of a grouping that came to us all at once and are assumed to have been all awarded to one individual at the same time.
