ARTIFACT: This is a old Second Empire Guard Dragoons helmet plate.

VINTAGE: Circa 1850-1871.

SIZE: About 11-1/4" in width by 6-1/4" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Stamped brass and copper wire.

ATTACHMENT: Loop at top; there are some solder marks on the back where pins or other attachments may have been.

MARKINGS: None.
