ARTIFACT: This is an unusual variation of an already scarce wing: a World War II United States Army Air Forces Air Crew wing made by Beverlycraft. The wing is rudely finished on reverse: possibly it is one of the first Air Crew wings to come off of Beverly Craft's assembly line in 1942! It has no maker mark, and typical Beverly Craft findings, but in the usual configuration of "locking catch left", not the company's usual placement on the right. There are no markings on reverse, but the wing is tested silver.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 13/16" in height by 3" in length.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Tested silver.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with come-under locking catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VFJX12 LCDEX12/12 SLCIEX12/30/24

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The wing shows some small areas of light to medium wear and tarnish.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
