ARTIFACT: This is a circa 1945 USRRA (United States Riviera Recreational Area) booklet for GIs entitled "Welcome to the Riviera (Bienvenue Sur la Cote d'Azur)". Set up in October 1944 by the 6th Army Group, the USRRA was a luxury get-away destination on the French Riviera for US soldiers. The booklet is named to a Staff Sgt. Paul G. The book is full of information about the area and has a few black-and-white illustrations.
