This is a scarce late 1930s United States Air Corps pilot wing in sterling silver by A.E. Company of Utica, New York in Sterling Silver. This wing has the company's pre-war hallmark on reverse, with a counterstamp below STERLING.
VINTAGE:Circa late 1930's.
SIZE:Approximately 13/16" in height and 3-1/32" in length.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver with brass findings.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with come-under locking catch.
MARKINGS:A.E. CO. UTICA N.Y. (pre-WWII maker mark) and STERLING.
