ARTIFACT: Scarce, early 1960's United States Air Force (USAF) Air Police Badge #'d F1144. The badge features a round center with insignia at the center surrounded by the words: "DEPARTMENT OF THE AIR FORCE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA", a spread-winged eagle sits perched at the top and it reads: "AIR POLICE" just below its talons, the base of the badge is numbered "F1144"

VINTAGE: Circa Early 1960's

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/2" x 1-5/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Silver plated brass

ATTACHMENT: Vertical kick pin with drop in locking swivel catch

MARKINGS: "PROPERTY OF THE U.S. GOVERNMENT", "V" on reverse above the pinback

ITEM NOTES: This is from a military police collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MFJX16 LBCEX6/16

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The badge shows minor to moderate wear, much of the plated details remain intact, overall handsome patina.
