ARTIFACT: This is a scarce copy of "Pilots' Information File" from 1944, a book issued to United States Army Air Forces pilots and flight engineers. This book was considered restricted information during the war. Several topics are covered, such as air traffic rules, how to breathe in dangerous conditions, exercises to combat long flight fatigue, de-icing an airplane and much more. There are some 1945 dated addenda filed in the front of the book, as well as 1943 and 1944 dated material. Great color graphics!

VINTAGE: Circa World War II (1943-1945).

SIZE: 266 pages with black and white photographs and both color and black and white illustrations; approximately 11" in height and 8-1/2" in width and 3/4" in thickness.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Oaktag cover, paper.

ATTACHMENT: Three hole punched binding with brads (one brad missing).

MARKINGS: RALEIGH-W.L.O.-823148 stamped three times on cover; some handwriting on cover.

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The book shows only some light wear and writing on the cover; one binding brad is missing; no rips, stains or writing inside.
