This is a scarce circa 1930s variant shoulder patch for the Civilian Conservation Corps (CCC), a work opportunity program created by Roosevelt's New Deal. It is a shield-shaped patch in red cotton embroidered with a green pine tree at its center and "US" above it.
VINTAGE:Circa 1930s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-3/4" in width and 3-1/16" in height.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Woven cotton embroidered in cotton/silk thread, mesh backing.
