This is a Scarce 1911 Dinner Plate From Norwegian Cargo Ship S.S. HALVDAN of the Bruusgaard, Kiosterud & Co Lines.
S.S. HALVDAN: Built by Sir Raylton Dixon & Co. Ltd., Midlesbrough; 3925 grt, 2434 nrt; 360.0 x 52.2 x 23.9; triple expansion engine (NE Marine Eng. Co. Ltd., Newcastle), 370 nhp On October 22nd, 1911, the Norwegian vessel SS HALVDAN, owned at the time of her loss by Bruusgaard, Kiosterud & Co., Drammen, was on a voyage from St.Lucia to Montreal with a cargo of salpeter, when she was wrecked off Framboise, Nova Scotia.
