ARTIFACT: This is a rare World War II United States Navy jacket patch for MTB RON-41 PT Squadron 41 Motor Torpedo Boat Patrol Torpedo. The squadron was commissioned on June 21, 1945 and was assigned to the Pacific Fleet for its somewhat short existence of eight months. The patch shows a cool skull with crossed torpedoes. The eye sockets and mouth hole have been cleverly turned into the words MTBRON 41.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: Approximately 4-3/8" in height x 3-9/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Fully embroidered in cotton/silk thread.

ATTACHMENT: To be sewn onto a Deck Jacket.
