This is a rare World War II United States Navy jacket patch for MTB RON 13, a Motor Torpedo Boat PT Boat Patrol Torpedo Boat Squadron in the Aleutians and Southeast Pacific.
The patch shows an "Unlucky" Black Cat riding a Torpedo sailing over the ocean superimposed with the number 13.
The Squadron was commissioned on 18 September 1942, and decommissioned on 23 November 1945
The Squadron's PT Boats, #73 - 84, saw action first in the Aleutian campaign March 43-May 44, then spent the rest of the war in the Southwest Pacific.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Fully-embroidered patch in multi-colored silk / cotton threads.
ATTACHMENT:To be sewn onto a Deck Jacket.
