Rare WWII US Navy Submarine Chief Petty Officer Dolphin in Bullion on Grey Gabardine Wool

This is a rare United States Navy Submarine Chief Petty Officer Dolphins in bullion on grey gabardine wool cloth. The grey material was used to mimic the color of the ships in the Navy, but was not used for more than a year or so. The patch shows two dolphins flanking a submarine, and the silver bullion denotes the rank of Chief Petty Officer

Circa World War II.

1-3/4" height and 3-3/4" width.

Wool patch embroidered with silver bullion and silk threads.
