ARTIFACT: This is a rare World War II 431st Fighter Squadron, 475th Fighter Group, 5th Air Force "Satan's Angels" Theatre - made squadron badge, painted on a coconut shell. Originally "Satan" would have had a small beard at bottom. While this has long ago broken off, it is still a great looking, and extremely rare Squadron Badge / DI.

VINTAGE: Circa WWII.

SIZE: About 2-1/8" in width by 2-11/16" in height.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Painted coconut shell.

ATTACHMENT: Vertical pin with a 'C' catch.

MARKINGS: None.

ITEM NOTES: This is from a large collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VBAEX07 LFGEX1/15 SLDFEX9/15 SeEGJX8/16 RET9/16 SLDFE9/16

CONDITION: 8- (Very Fine Excellent): Very minor wear, but looks like a piece has broken off the chin where a small beard would have been.

GUARANTEE: As with all my artifacts, this piece is guaranteed to be original, as described.
