Description
This is a rare World War I German zeppelin relic: this is skin from the L-49, the first zeppelin to be shot down in France in October 191This height climber ship was brought down and salvaged in great condition.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:2-1/4" length by 3-5/8" width (measurements as stapled in photo).
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Painted cloth zeppelin fabric.
ATTACHMENT:Two pieces have been stapled together.
MARKINGS:Period handwritten message on front: FROM THE L49, FIRST GERMAN ZEP EVER BROUGHT DOWN IN FRANCE.
