ARTIFACT: This is a rare World War II United States Army Air Forces unit history entitled "The 82nd Fighter Group From Muroc to Foggia". The book was printed in theatre and reproduced after the war by the 931st Engineer Battalion. The 82nd spent two years I the European Theatre of Operations, mostly in North Africa and Italy. The group included the 85th, 96th and 97th Fighter Squadrons, and flew P-38s. The short book is soft cover and has an illustrated campaign map and a list of the group's officers and aces.

VINTAGE: Circa World War II.

SIZE: 17 pages with black and white photographs and illustrations; approximately 10-1/2" in height and 8" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Paper.

ATTACHMENT: Stapled binding.

MARKINGS: REPRODUCED BY 941st ENGR BN on back cover.
