This is a rare short-lived circa 1949 United States Air Force Headquarters uniform distinctive insignia as deactivated in Air Force Letter 35-46. It is enameled in blue and was made by Gemsco of New York.
Approximately 15/16" in diameter.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Enameled gilt brass.
Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
