ARTIFACT:

This is a rare short-lived circa 1949 United States Air Force Headquarters uniform distinctive insignia as deactivated in Air Force Letter 35-4It is enameled in blue and was made by Gemsco of New York.

VINTAGE:

Circa 1949.

SIZE:

Approximately 15/16" in diameter.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Enameled gilt brass.

ATTACHMENT:

Vertical pin with come-under locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS:

GEMSCO N.Y.
