ARTIFACT:
This is a rare Nazi period (circa 1934-1936) Prussian firefighting medal for long service. The medal replaced its older counterpart in 1934 after some changes in firefighting came about. Firefighters who had served for twenty-five years, those who had been exposed to special danger, or those who were leaders or pioneers in the field of firefighting were eligible to receive the medal. It shows a firefighter blowing fire from a horn and wearing the Prussian eagle upon his breast. The badge reads FUR VERDIENSTE UM DAS FEUERLOSCHWESEN (For merit in fire engineering). Dies ist eine seltene NS-Zeit (ca. 1934-1936) Erinnerungszeichen Verdienste um das Feuerloschwesen. Die Medaille ersetzt seinen alten Gegenspieler im Jahr 1934, nachdem einige Anderungen in der Brandbekampfung kam. Feuerwehrleute, die fur 25 Jahre gedient hatte, diejenigen, die besondere Gefahr ausgesetzt waren, oder diejenigen, die Staats-und Regierungschefs oder Pioniere auf dem Gebiet der Brandbekampfung konnte die Medaille zu verdienen waren. Es zeigt einen Feuerwehrmann blast das Feuer aus Horn und das Tragen der preussische Adler auf der Brust. Das Abzeichen liest FUR VERDIENSTE UM DAS FEUERLOSCHWESEN.
