Description
This is a World War II United States Army Air Forces Air Crew wing by LeVelle & Company, a rare maker. The wing shows the Great Seal at its center and has the name and Social Security number of the original owner scratched on its reverse.
VINTAGE:Circa World War II.
SIZE:Approximately 7/8" height and 3-1/8" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Sterling silver, brass pin.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with come-under locking swivel catch.
MARKINGS:STERLING LEVELLE & CO. WASHINGTON D.C. PHILA. PA. and very hard to read (scratched on) GEO. NEWTON 120 4648.
