ARTIFACT: This is a rare late World War II jacket patch for the United States Navy submarine USS Jallao (SS-368). The Jallao was launched from Manitowoc, Wisconsin on June 12, 1944. She was decommissioned on September 30, 1946 and recommissioned during the Korean War. Her second decommissioning took place just over thirty years after her initial launching. Jallao sunk a Japanese warship on her first voyage and went on a total of four total World War II patrols. The patch shows a jallao (fish) with a sailor cap on holding a missile.

VINTAGE: Circa late World War II.
