This is a rare circa late 1940s or early 1950s hat badge for Aer Lingus, Ireland's national airline since 193The badge is a wreathed shamrock embroidered in silk and gold bullion thread.
VINTAGE:Circa late 1940s-early 1950s.
SIZE:Approximately 2-3/16" x 2-5/16"
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Wool felt with bullion and cotton/silk embroidery, cloth backing, plastic clip.
ATTACHMENT:Clip.

CONDITION:7 (Very Fine): The badge has some light to medium wear and tarnish; one end of clip has become unstitched.
