ARTIFACT: Rare and historical circa 1940 United States Navy Pilot wing originally worn by Dr. Ralph W.E. Cox, founder of US Overseas Airlines. The wing is inscribed on the back of the anchor stock: "COX" and is a great pre-war example of an H & H USN pilot wing in gold-plated brass and is from the original owner's estate, Dr. Ralph W.E. Cox along with USOA Pilot and Captain wings. (see links below)

VINTAGE: Circa 1940

SIZE: Approximately 2-3/4" x 7/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Gold-plated brass

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal pin with drop-in locking swivel catch.

MARKINGS: "COX", "H&H" maker mark

ITEM NOTES: This is from a USN collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJJX16 LEIEX12/16

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent+): The wing shows minor wear, much of the plated details remain intact, overall excellent condition.
