Description
This is a rare early World War II British Airborne paratrooper wing made in Egypt of silk-embroidered khaki. The SOE (Special Operations Executive), the UK version of OSS, operated out of Cairo in the latter days of World War II with heavy involvement in the Balkans and northern Italy. The wing came to us along with 3rd Contingent Operational Group shoulder patch in bullion that was probably made in the Balkans or northern Italy (sold separately Ð please see link at bottom of page for information).
