Description
This is a early World War II United States Army Air Force CBI Theater patch made in multi-piece leather in the China-India-Burma theater. The patch is a badge shape and depicts a sun and a star on a field of blue above five vertical stripes. This example is a rare variation with the an inverted star. This style of patch is rarely seen used after 1942, so is considered early war.
VINTAGE:Circa 1942.
SIZE:3-1/4" height and 2-3/16" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Leather hand-pieced patch.

CONDITION:6+ (Fine - Very Fine): A small piece at bottom of patch is missing and there is moderate discoloration on stripes.
