ARTIFACT: Rare circa 1996 ??? 2004 Stabilization Force (SFOR) Military Police badge numbered: "0836" on the reverse and is in its original leather hanger. The badge was issued to military police engaged in the stabilization force that kept peace in Bosnia-Herzegovina, a NATO-led force established in December 1996 and tasked with upholding the Dayton Agreement. The badge features an enameled disc in white and blue centered beneath the crossed pistol insignia of the military police done in raised detail. Two scrolls or banners read: "SFOR", "MILITARY POLICE".

VINTAGE: Circa 1996 ??? 2004

SIZE: Approximately Badge: 1-7/8" x 1-1/2"; Hanger: 4" x 2-1/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling, enamel, gilt brass, leather

ATTACHMENT: Badge: double posts with clutchbacks; Hanger: slot for attachment to button.

MARKINGS: "0836" numbered on reverse

ITEM NOTES: This is from a military police collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MAEX15 LEGEX4/16

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The badge shows minor to moderate wear, nearly all the enamel and gilt brass details remain intact, leather is soft and supple, overall excellent condition.
