ARTIFACT:
This is a rare circa 1914 First Canadian Expeditionary Forces provisional collar badge, given to enlisted personnel. The badge is made in the shape of a maple leaf with a crown in the middle that has the number 1 on it. Under the crown reads "CANADA" in capital letters.

CONDITION:
5 (Very Good-Fine): This badge has a lot of wear, namely the lugs on the back are broken. The front, however, is in very good condition with light tarnishing.
