This is a rare 1920s United States Air Corps balloon pilot wing in silver-plated brass by Link Company with no maker's mark. The wing is very finely detailed and shows a balloon at its center.
VINTAGE:Circa 1920s.
SIZE:Approximately 7/8" height and 3-1/8" width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Silver-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal pin with C catch.
MARKINGS:None.
ITEM NOTES:This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAEJX11 LAEJJX4/11 SAEJJ9/11
CONDITION:8- (Very Fine-Excellent): The wing shows some small spots of light wear and tarnish, mostly on its reverse.
