The Shooting Star was manufactured by Lockheed, and the original P-80 had been the first jet fighter officially used by the United States Army Air Forces. The P-80A was fine-tuned and ready for use in 1945 after several test-related accidents. This poster is stamped both UNCONTROLLED COPY and RESTRICTED ILLUSTRATION.

VINTAGE: Circa 1945.

SIZE: Approximately 36-1/8"e; in height by 24"e; in width (not including foam board).

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Paper.

ATTACHMENT: None.

MARKINGS: UNCONTROLLED COPY and RESTRICTED ILLUSTRATION stamps.

ITEM NOTES: This poster will be shipped unwrapped and rolled without the foam board, unless arrangements are made for pick-up or special shipping to preserve the shrink wrap mounting. This is from a United States Army Air Forces collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJX00 LCDEX11/11

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): The poster has a swoosh-shaped mark of discoloration along with some other areas, and has overall light yellowing and minor creasing.
