Description
This is a rare 1942 Luxemburg (or Luxembourg) "First District Council" tinnie for the NSDAP, or Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiterpart (National Socialist German Workers'or Nazi Party). The tinnie commemorates the official annexation of Luxembourg to Germany, a long and painful process that became official in August 1942 and ended in September 1944 with the nation's liberation by the Allied Forces. The tinnie shows an eagle clutching a swastika above a bridge scene.
VINTAGE:Circa 1942.
SIZE:Approximately 1-9/16" in height and 1-1/8" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:White metal.
ATTACHMENT:Horizontal safety-style pin.
