ARTIFACT: RARE 1930's - early 1940's Chinese Air Force Flight Helmet & unusual Willson Goggles. I have never seen anything like the helmet, the CAF wing patch on front, or the Willson Goggles. The leather patch shows a CAF pilot wing which appears to have been silk-screened onto the leather. The goggles are similar to the M38 Resistal Goggles, but with a unique outer edge vent system, and nice Willson markings. Frame, lenses, and band are in very nice condition, very minor deterioration to rubber. Helmet is unmarked, cotton w/felt lining, tie on, very typical of early Asian style, but hard to say if made there or here. Most likely for training in China, or possibly here in the US. Artifacts that belonged to members of the original Flying Tigers are extremely hard to acquire and rarely come up for sale. Often collectors lucky enough to acquire anything from the AVG will hold onto the pieces for their entire lifetime and families rarely let these artifacts go if they are lucky enough to still possess them. Don't miss this chance to own a true piece of WWII Aviation History.

VINTAGE: Circa 1930's - early 1940's

SIZE: Helmet measures 23" in circumference, when lying flat: 10" x 8". Lens frames are 9" x 4-7/8" wide.

ATTACHMENT: Fabric loops with snaps for goggle attachment, string tie to secure flight helmet when worn.
