ARTIFACT: This is a rare 1916 reunion badge for the United Confederate Veterans (UCV), the Confederate answer to the Union's Grand Army of the Republic formed in 1889. The UCV remained active until 1951. The 26th annual UCV reunion was held at Birmingham, Alabama, and the badge shows the State Capitol building in relief.

VINTAGE: Circa 1916.

SIZE: Approximately 1-5/8" in height and 1-5/16" in width.

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Copper-plated brass, painted details.

ATTACHMENT: Horizontal safety-style pin.

MARKINGS: None.

CONDITION: 7+ (Very Fine+): The badge has some light wear and a handsome tarnish.
