ARTIFACT:
This is an extremely rare circa 1910s or 1920s American Lifesaving Society badge for the State of New Jersey Superintendent. The badge has a gold-filled front with hard-fired enamel lettering. The badge has a large New Jersey Seal at center in relief.
VINTAGE:
Circa 1910s-1920s.
SIZE:
Approximately 2-1/4" in height and 1-1/2" in width.
MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION:
Gold-filled front, hard-fired enamel.
ATTACHMENT:
Vertical T-style pin with drop-in locking swivel catch (period repair to catch).
