Description

ARTIFACT:

This is a numbered wall plaque for the United States Army Air Forces Flying Tigers (American Volunteer Group). It was handcrafted in 1992 by 3rd Squadron Armorer Chuck Baisden of Savannah, Georgia. The plaque is wooden and has vibrant colors with a glossy, protective coat of polyurethane.

VINTAGE:

Circa early 1990s.

SIZE:

Approximately 20-1/2" in length and 10" in height and " in thickness.

CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:

Painted and polyurethaned wood.

ATTACHMENT:

Bracket.

MARKINGS:

HANDCRAFTED BY CHUCK BAISDEN 1992 handwritten on reverse; CHUCK BAISDEN SAVANNAH GEORGIA 23 stamped on reverse.
