ARTIFACT: This is a nice World War II US Navy Officer's full-sized hat badge manufactured by Vanguard in sterling and 1/10 14K gold fill. There are three different marks on the reverse of this badge. "Sterling" can be found on the back of the eagle's left wing. "1/10 14K G.F." is found on the handle of the anchor on the right side, while "Vanguard-N.Y." is on the handle of the anchor on the left.

VINTAGE: Circa WWII.

SIZE: Appr: 2-1/4" x 2-3/8".

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Sterling and 1/10 14K Gold Fill.

ATTACHMENT: Screwback Pin.

MARKINGS: "STERLING. VANGUARD-N.Y. 1/10 14K G.F."

CONDITION: 7- (Very Fine-): Nice patina and light tarnish.
