Nice WWII USAAF Service Pilot Wing in Sterling by Meyer

This is a nice United States Army Air Forces service pilot wing in sterling silver by Meyer. The wing shows a shield at center bearing the letter S and has an odd placement of the STERLING mark (high up and slightly off-center on the reverse of the crest).

Circa World War II.

Approximately 15/16" height and 3" width.

Sterling silver.

Horizontal pin with come-under swivel locking catch.

STERLING with Meyer maker's mark.
