ARTIFACT: Nice WWII United States Coast Guard Lieutenant shoulder boards. The boards show bullion embroidered US Shields that depicts thirteen raised stars. Below are two bullion ribbon embroidered stripes. A gilt brass button shows an eagle carrying an anchor with a wreath below in nicely raised detail.

VINTAGE: Circa WWII

SIZE: Approximately 5-1/2" x 2-1/4"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Bullion embroidered wool felt, bullion embroidered ribbon, gilt brass, leather, silk, paperboard

ATTACHMENT: Leather tabs

MARKINGS: "UNITED CARR" on underside of brass button/rivet

ITEM NOTES: This is from a USCG collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. MAEV16 LFJX8/16

CONDITION: 8 (Excellent-): The shoulder boards show minor wear, nearly all the bullion and gilt brass details remain intact, leather is soft, overall very fine condition.
