ARTIFACT:

This is a nice World War I German Naval U-boat badge manufactured in the "cliche" style, possibly in the early 1920s. The badge shows an Imperial crown at the top of a wreathed submarine.
VINTAGE:Circa World War I.
SIZE:Approximately 1-7/8" in height and 1-15/16" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gold-plated brass.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical kick pin with C catch.
MARKINGS:None.

CONDITION:7+ (Very Fine+): The badge has some small areas of tarnish and light to medium wear.
