ARTIFACT: Nice Korean War era United States Coast Guard Auxiliary hat badge by Gemsco. The gilt brass badge features the US Shield in the center with crossed anchors behind and features a blue enamel ring that reads: "U.S. COAST GUARD AUXILIARY".

VINTAGE: Circa Korean War era

SIZE: Approximately 2-1/8" x 2-1/8"

MATERIALS / CONSTRUCTION: Enameled gilt brass

ATTACHMENT: Single post with stabilizer pin (bent) and screwback.

MARKINGS: "GEMSCO N.Y."

ITEM NOTES: This is from a USCG collection which we will be listing more of over the next few months. VAJX16 LEEX3/16

CONDITION: 8+ (Excellent): The hat badge shows minor wear, stabilizing pin is bent, overall excellent condition.
