Description
Nice circa 1900 Hartford Cycle Co. Vedette head badge for a Pattern 21 bicycle. The head badge is nicely detailed and reads: "VEDETTE" in the center and above: "PATTERN 21 HARTFORD CYCLE" and below: "HARTFORD, CT. U.S.A." in embossed lettering. The Hartford Cycle Co., also known as The American Bicycle Co., which later became Columbia.
VINTAGE:Circa 1900.
SIZE:Approximately 2-3/16" in height x 1-1/2" in width.
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Stamped Nickel.
ATTACHMENT:Two holes for screw attachment.
MARKINGS:"T.M. REGD. MCH. 18.98.", "MADE IN U.S.A."
