Description
Nice 1940's - 50's New York City police department Inspector rank miniature or wallet badge. The center shows the Seal of New York City in gilt, raised detail against a background of blue enamel and surrounding it reads: "CITY OF NEW YORK POLICE INSPECTOR". The top of the badge shows an eagle perched with wings spread, head bowed, and feathers grasped in its talons.
VINTAGE:Circa 1940's 50's.
SIZE:Approximately 1-5/8" x 1-3/8".
CONSTRUCTION / MATERIALS:Gilt brass, enamel.
ATTACHMENT:Vertical pin with drop in locking swivel catch.
